Earth Day takes place every year on 22 April.
This year’s theme was Invest In Our Planet - and I was thrilled to take part in a webinar hosted by the Soil Association to talk about how, as an ethical business, we try to do just that.
I appeared alongside Frugi CEO, Sarah Clark, and Richard Naylor - the Sustainable Development Director at Hypnos Beds.
‘Sustainable’ Fashion
The UN estimates the fashion industry is responsible for up to 8% of total greenhouse gas emissions globally.
Sustainable fashion refers to a clothing supply chain that is ecologically and socially responsible.
Now is the opportunity to shift the industry and consumers away from the fast fashion model and toward sustainable practices in sourcing, production, distribution, marketing, and consumption.
It’s up to all of us to take action to protect the planet, our health and our livelihoods.
Invest In Our Planet
On Earth Day, we discussed what being a sustainable business means, particularly in fashion and what elements need to be looked at to make a business more holistic and ethical.
Also, what challenges businesses will face if sustainability isn’t at the forefront of the fashion and textiles industry, as well as exciting new ways businesses are approaching sustainability.

With love,
